The result of a long and meticulous planning the Dhaka International Translation Festival finally takes shape under the finer moulds of Dr. Gouranga Mohanta, Dr. Bina Biswas, Dr. Rashid Askari, and Mr. Ahsan Habib.
Translation is like building bridges, without which we would be disconnected from far flung worlds of literatures. Translation gives literatures a wider audience. At the translation festival here in Dhaka, one will come across numerous translation works, get to interact with authors and translators from around the world.
The purpose of this festival is to open the flood gates of translation and reach out to a larger, wider and diverse group of audiences. When the political world map is breaking the world into smaller geographical fragments, we try to put in our best efforts to unite the world through literature. Trying to build an omnipotent literary world. One world of culture, friendship and bonhomie. So welcome one and all to this interesting festival spanning over two days.
