Benoy Kumar Banerjee, a retired Professor and Head of the Dept. of English, University of North Bengal. He did his PhD on J.M.Synge, the Anglo-Irish dramatist. He has authored and edited several books in both English and Bengali. He has also published papers and articles in diverse areas in literature in reputed journals. He has participated in both national and international conferences.
