Binoy Barman is an Associate Professor of English at Daffodil International University. Though he has academic specialization is linguistics, he shows keen interest in literature. He writes poetry and translates fiction and non-fiction from English to Bangla and vice versa. He has translated, among other things, Rimbaud’s poetry, short stories of Alice Munro,and Mariano Azuela’s novel The Underdogs.He achieved Unicef’sMeena Media Award in 2015 for adolescent literature and Daily Star Celebrating Life Award in 2012 for lyrics. He regularly writes column for newspaper and contributes to little mags in prose and poetry. He has got forty books to his credit.
