Dr. Katherine Li arrived in Dhaka in September, 2014 as an Assistant Professor for the Department of English and Modern Languages at North South University (NSU). In July, 2017 she was appointed Director of the Office of External Affairs at NSU. Her BA is in Asian Studies from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and her MA is in International Educational Development (IED) from Teachers College, Columbia University. Returning to the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa PhD, she earned a Graduate Certificate in Conflict Resolution and a PhD in Educational Foundations. She is passionate about travel and cross-cultural communication. Her research interests include leadership development and resilience building in educational settings. She is the founder President and general member of North South University Toastmasters Club.
