Chandra Singh Gurung, a noted poet and translator of Nepal was born in 05 August 1976. He completed his Graduation in Commerce from Nepal Commerce College, Kathmandu, Nepal. He has very good command over Nepali, English and Hindi languages. He has translated many of the foreign poets in Nepali and some of the Nepali poets in Hindi as well. His first collection of poetry was published in the year 2007. He had organized poetry activities in Nepal supporting Palestinian poet Ashraf Fayadh in the year of 2016. Ashraf Fayadh is an artist and poet of Palestinian origin and is living in Saudi Arabia who was sentenced to death for apostasy. Chandra Singh Gurung was awarded “Asvikrit Bichar Sahitya Samman-2016”.
