Odveig Klyve is a writer, writer and filmmaker. Among other things, she has written nine collections of poems and eight children’s books. Poems by Klyve translate into Arabic, English, French, Spanish, Chinese, Russian, Gaelic, Hindi, Punjabi, Kannada, Marrathi, Oriya, Malayalam ,, Romanian, German, Persian, Macedonian, Italian. Klyve collaborates with musicians / composers such as Terje Isungset, Eva Pfitzenmaier, Johan Egdetveit, Gjertrud Økland, Nils Henrik Asheim, Reidar Larsen, Odd Erik Ognedal and Stig Roar Wigestrand. Odveig Klyve has also scripted and directed a number of short films. Her films are shown at film festivals in Europe, the USA and India. In 2012 she debuted at the State Art Exhibition (Haustut exhiba), and at Les Rencontres Internationales, Paris with a video work. Klyve is originally from Hardanger, but now lives in Stavanger.
