Shibli Chowdhury is an academic, writer, researcher, translator and critic of Bangladesh. He writes both in Bengali and English. He completed BA and MA in English at Islamic University, Kushtia and achieved his PhD degree on “Gender Discrimination in the Folk Songs of Rangpur: A Feminist Approach” from Rajshahi University, Bangladesh. His research interest includes gender studies, different arenas of folklore, translation studies, literature, etc. A total of 12 of his articles have been published in the journals from home and abroad. His columns and literary essays are often published in the national dailies and literary magazines of Bangladesh. He also presented a good number of papers in international conferences. Currently, he is an assistant professor in the Department of Folklore Studies at Islamic University, Kushtia, Bangladesh.
