Suraiya Farzana Hasan, writes travelogues and translates the Commonwealth awarded short stories, which are being published regularly by Golpokar, a monthly journal in Bengali language. Hasan published the 1st volume of translated stories awarded by the Commonwealth Foundation in the Dhaka Lit Fest, 2017. She is now working on the 2nd volume of the same and translating the collected stories of Gabriel Garcia Marquez, the renowned Nobel Laureate. Hasan is about to obtain a doctorate in Government and Politics from Jahangirnagar University.
